I've known asocial people who were up with the birds every morning and ready to pass out at 8 PM. I've known brilliant ones and others who were dumb as doorknobs.

Still, we're the people at work who tend to be off by ourselves and coming up with novel solutions to old problems. We're the ones who feign illness on "team building exercise" days, we just don't fit into the "yay team" model. And given our druthers, we spend free time alone doing various things from video games to hard science reading to woodworking, you name it.

I was a weaver, looms being distinctly non portable items and consequently requiring a lot of alone time to pursue it. I was also an RN, not the sort of occupation that attracts total misanthropes. It was a decent mix for me, YMMV.
