The Godzilla story is one of those timeless tales, retold and expanded upon from at least the first B&W 1950s movies of my youth.
Perhaps even before the atomic-age.
Post WW2 and for reasons, some atomic force births, reawakens, manifests a beastly, monstrous danger to humanity, or at least our model city. The movie citizens must be defended. But how?
The rifles and guns, bullets and bombs, planes and plans of the past all fail in the face of the new distress.
Eventually salvation comes through the synthesis of western science and Asian kids.
Future generations will save us from past sins; or not if Mothra returns. Or the Magalons win.
