California is not an independent country, so what infects some states can spread to others. Better to promote the robust California economy and contrast it to Texas, touted by the GOP as a GOP paradise.

California, with high growth and high taxes, is a huge contrast to Texas with its large number of uninsured working class people and huge number of minimum wage jobs.

Make that point to the media and to politicians.
