Instead they hit the salad bar and got a mini scandals of the private email scandal, her statement on superpreditors 20 years ago, Obama not being allowed to do any Keynesian spending after 2010, the Clinton Foundation, Comey being threatened with leaks, Clinton picking the way too nice Kaine as vp (I'm sure her many rich centrist donors weighed in on her vp pick), trickle down policies for 36 years that had the rust belt sore and angry, her doing nothing wrong regarding Benghazi, and on and on. There must have been 50 themes they kept going to. All small things. But the salad bar with which the GOP could chip away at Hillary was absolutely huge. We must learn how to counter such well laid plans. Granted the GOP had 20 years to work on it. But each little theme would alienate some people from voting for her, or voting at all. It was a giant gish Gallup.
