19. Actually I hoping that existing leaders will bring us together

They would be best to take on that task because they already have the respect of those who need to moderate their disdain for those not in their camp.

I'm no leader, but in the next primary I intend to try not to take sides as much, to see the positive aspects of all candidates seeking the nomination and not get involved in the us verses them climate that seems to permeate DU during the primary cycle. Maybe in some small way I can be bridge builder rather than a bridge destroyer. Hopefully next time around the candidates will not be in such stark contracts to one another, which will make that attitude easier for me to adopt.

I am encouraged the fact that before I became involved in DU, I had no problem transferring my loyalties from Hillary to Barack without any problem. I contributed and worked for Hillary's campaign and then when she asked to, I contributed and worked for Barack's campaign without a concern to the contrary. I was surprised later that there was a huge rift between the advocates of the two candidates here on DU and some never fully got on board even after the general election. That's kind of sad when you think about it.

I think what I will have to do next time around is ignore the urge to retaliate when others attack my favorite candidate, and point out the positive attributes of both/all candidates.
