The one of the left looks like a english pointer/dalmatian/cattle dog mix of awesomeness! And I love pitties. Your guy looks so sweet. There miiight be a treat involved in my pic, too, lol!
Waylon was technically my husband's dog, but I loved him dearly. We both had adult dogs when we met.. He rescued (cough*stole*cough) Waylon's whole litter from an abusive asshole. All the pups had mange, all 6 were gated into a filthy, medium sized closet, and the asshole tossed them raw meat to fight over. 
We think they were American Bulldog mixes. Maybe Am Staff?
My SiL is a vet and she fixed 'em up. Hubby found homes for all the pups, but says he knew Waylon was his as soon as they saw each other.
Almost forgot my fancy new posting skills! Here's my fav pic of Waylon and my girl, Maggie. They adored each other. I love Maggie's long-suffering look about the nibbling.
