1. Putting armed guards in schools is an extension of the gun maker's marketing.

See, guns make us safer therefore schools must have guns in them. Never mind that it is a crock of liquid shit that an armed 'school resource officer' will make one iota of difference.

Just as every piece of data points out that guns DO NOT MAKE US SAFER the same data points out that armed guards in schools DO NOT MAKE SCHOOLS SAFER.

Gun marketing says that having a gun will allow you to defend yourself against the bad guy with a gun yet the FBI data shows that you are 5 times more likely to be wounded or killed if you resist with a gun than not.

It's a feel good salve for the gullible. It's all about feel good, fuck the facts.
