3. "Part I" is fascinating watch about his early years. Amazing he survived it.

How he coped and survived with two such radically different parents (Irish Communist Activist mother and Black Deejay father living in "whites only" South plus his experience joining the military at 17 to go to Vietnam, training as a paratrooper and his experiences there are vividly revealing of that time in America .
