18. Has any other fictional character been played only by Academy Award winners in films?

1989 Joker - prior Oscar winner Jack Nicholson

2008 Joker - Heath Ledger won an Oscar for the role

2016 Joker - prior Oscar winner Jared Leto

2019 Joker.- Joaquin Phoenix won an Oscar for the role

(The Ceasar Romero Joker in 1967's The Batman Movie I treat as being in an extended tv episode.

I'm speaking of fictional characters outside of Shakespearean ones. I'm sure a lot of the filmed Lears, Macbeths, and Hamlets have had Oscar winners playing them. But that's heady company for a comic book villain.
