The fracken media! [View all]
I didn't know where to post this then realized that the most appropriate place was the Martin O'Malley group.
That's because what set me off was watching Ed Schultz spending so much time on the Republican clown car (the McBun on the sandwich) and setting up one Democratic candidate, Bernie Sanders, with a totally onside intro followed by softball questions in an interview, mixed with more than equal time tearing down another Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton - but not having anyone on air to speak for her.
The man is not a "moderator" of any kind.
Ed has all the time in the world to play the Huckabee vs Trump mindgames, with well-paid "Republican advocates and pundits" paying their dues, rather like well-paid "Democratic advocates and pundits" play the same role on FOX. It's a living and all I want from them is that they don't expect me to pay them much mind. All the time this is going on there's this stupid running graph of opinion poll responses to an equally stupid candidate specific question, as if such polls aren't self-selected and worthless.
If "Big Ed" is supposed to be this left/progressive moderator, why is the show so biased that there's virtually no mention of O'Malley and the wider Democratic campaign? Why isn't a *real* debate happening? There's something wrong with this picture - it's like someone came along with scissors and cut out everything but a biased view of the Sanders/Clinton debate, then threw in some talk regarding rabid Republican nonsense as a token to diversity.
But The Ed Show is just an example of what seems to be an universal problem.
These moderators aren't doing their job, whether on NBC, CBS, CNN, FOX, ABC.
At least not the job advertised. They're programming us by controlling/gaming what we hear.
