Even though far too many white women voted for Trump than he deserved (hell, one vote is too many), WW are a large voting bloc, ~33% of the electorate, larger than African American voters of either sex, about ~13% of the electorate.

They made a huge difference in 2018 and in the primaries so far, even though pundits have said little about that. In the general election Dems have to be concerned not only about their most consistent voters, but also about voters in the entire electorate.
AND even if white women were not such a large group, it is completely wrong to exclude outstanding white female candidates from consideration as VP candidates. That simply perpetuates the discrimination against them that H. Clinton faced, as did others before and after her.
