Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: Senator Sanders, telling us what we "need to do" from Vermont, not from Washington! [View all]Hortensis
(58,785 posts)and throw the nation to the very terrible, intensely corrupt Republican Party by spreading constant lies that Democrats were much the same and no real alternative. He did and does this knowing that both Russia and the Republicans were and are using him to defeat Democrats.
To date, through all that's happened, Sanders shows absolutely no guilt or shame, no regret. Quite the contrary, only insisting at least hundreds of times in many ways that our nation would be much the same under Democrats as Republicans.
Bizarre. I need psychiatrists to tell me what adjectives should be used to describe him.
Now, for really horrible: hundreds of thousands of people are dying and going to die. Or more, perhaps well over a million. Of all ages, babies and children also. On top of all else that's happening to everyone.
This was very predictable.
The Obama administration had already stopped the deadly SARS and MERS viruses when they arrived in America, and those were only two of the worst that were stopped. H1N1 (Swine flu) couldn't be stopped in spite of everything the Democratic administration did, including declaring a national emergency, and it killed over 60 million Americans.
Sanders knew all this then and knows it now as pandemic spreads, but he continues to lie about Democrats. In being willing to throw power to the Republicans if he can't have it, he knowingly flipped a coin with America's lives -- in this way and many others. And, NO, "the Democrats DON'T do it too," as he always says. Only this one candidate.
So, since you brought the question to mind: What does it take to be a horrible person? Must that person have the capacity to understand the horrific consequences of his own actions were his fault? Is he a good person if he can't make the connection? How about if he can but believes he was justified because "the Democrats do it too?" Or would horrible actions and horrible consequences qualify on their own?
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
