These aren't the Grand Old Party Republicans of the old days. Those who still identify with that party have become intensely corrupted (my words) by extreme partisanship. Almost no depravity is too great for them to support, and a huge if in this analysis is whether even great economic misfortune would cause significant numbers of loyalists to toss their team jerseys in the trash.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
