(148,110 posts)"They" are the Jill Stein voters from 2016. Some of them hold prominent positions on Bernie Sanders' campaign staff.
"They" have some considerable blame for the results of that presidential election. Anyone who can read can see that effect on the results in MI, WI, and PA. "They" encouraged people to vote that way as a "protest" of some sort or another.
I blame them for the past 3+ years of Donald Trump, and with some considerable merit. I blame them, just as I blame Ralph Nader for the results of the 2000 election. Both Nader and Stein ran under the banner of the Green Party. Both cost us dearly through helping administrations win who have made things far worse than they would have been had the Green candidate not been on the ballot.
So, I identified "them" quite clearly in my OP. I'm sorry you missed that.
