Just stumbled onto this article...it's quite long but even more sobering than lengthy so worth perusing at one's leisure since it's pretty important to all of us...

Saw the author on TV just yesterday and he was very impressive...really seemed to know his stuff. A science writer for several well-know publications and has several degrees in zoology and biochemistry.

He paints a pretty grim picture and was one of the ones who tried to warn us but few of us listened. Guess climate change wasn't a big enough challenge. Think I'll go read some history about the Black Death and cheer up a little.
