Mistake by PolitiFact Regarding a Sanders Campaign Statement [View all]

This article (https://www.politico.com/news/2020/01/18/joe-biden-falsely-attacks-bernie-sanders-100811?fbclid=IwAR0DUON-mH0Vy1Tn8LeEjGpGazv0t9UR4hxGz7nNpKb8jFyBeVNf0ca9uFU) includes the following:

"'Sanders’ campaign did say in a recent campaign email that “Biden lauded Paul Ryan for proposing cuts to Social Security and Medicare” — which PolitiFact said Sanders’ campaign got wrong."'

However it does appear that Biden DID laud Paul Ryan for proposing the cuts. Here's a quote from Biden from a talk given to The Brookings Institution in 2018:

'"Paul Ryan was correct when he did the tax code. What’s the first thing he decided we had to go after? Social Security and Medicare. Now, we need to do something about Social Security and Medicare. That’s the only way you can find room to pay for it."'

Here's a transcript of Biden's presentation:
