And I've wondered if they'd be permitted today. Also, we had numerous students who came from other countries, both at my college and especially at my boarding school. I especially remember one guy from Ghana who was arguably the smartest guy in the school and an amazing soccer player - and very well liked. Would he be welcome today? And in today's dangerous political climate would students from other countries want to take the chance?
And I agree, it's scary as hell. I've been glad that I'm not in school right now given the dangers and the shooting drills - my cousin's daughter is still traumatized over those. And now we're facing another serious danger and, like you said, we don't know who will be targeted next.
