It’s a pathetic shtick.

Example: My SO’s earned SS benefit went down $130/month because the COLA didn’t cover the Medicare premium. Benefits that had only been collected on for less than three years. If this trend continues for the next three years (there’s no reason to expect it not to) It will actually cost money to collect earned SS benefits.
