The answer is staring you in the face. Non white. Non male. Not necessarily in that order. And to be honest, didn't peg the charisma meter like Obama did. That charisma is the ONLY way he got elected twice. (along with being competent, one would hope - but from this last election it's pretty clear that competence isn't a big factor for most voters.)
