fwiw, it's still not clear which if any Syrian factions deserve(d) our support, or why we're in Syria at all, except for the fact that we're still controlling some of their oil fields and, I presume, acting partly in support of Israel.
And if we care(d) about "red lines," we should have halted our support for the genocide in Gaza long ago.
