(926 posts)It's just that I can't find much other discussion of this. The short interview above is with Status Coup News, who are doing great work on the ground ... I subscribe to their YouTube channel ... but they are not a 'local news channel', per se. The I-gram post is from 3 days ago, and I can't find much discussion that's more recent. You'd think independent and commercial media would be all over this story.
There are a couple of Minneapolis Reddit threads (both started by the same person), but no one has followed up with anything concrete.

Seems like it would be a good idea to drive around the area, 'just in case'. I read in one of those threads above that they *are* releasing ppl from Whipple with 'just the clothes on their backs', no phone, etc, and there are folks who are watching out for them. One of the Reddit posters said, "There seems to be people on standby at the Whipple building just in case detainees are let out." That is very good news.
I did watch the video clip. Lots of people vouch for the woman who was interviewed.
I can't click through very far, since I don't do *any* social media outside of DU and a subreddit on gardening.
