Informing you --- that the ruling class might use the machinery for mass production of consciousness, to spread sweet little lies --- well, that just isn't very high on the agenda

You'll get some glimpses of the truth, when the internal splits in the ruling coalitions lead to genuine power struggles, and the mechanisms of self-censorship temporarily fail
