The Trump proposal fails to meet any of the conditions set forth by Putin. Indeed, one has to wonder if Trump is even aware of what those conditions are. This war is not currently ripe for an agreement to be reached. One side has to wear the other side down more than is currently the case. The best outcome would be for a successful assassin attack on Putin, but that is a long shot and not a job for Seal Team 6.. That could bring in another hard-liner but it should open the doors to dialog.

Indeed, the Trump proposal had so many flaws it does not bode well for future talks either. Not with the volatile Trump.
