Valuable that algorithm was and how much it would cost to recreate it, so dropped his bid. Instead he lobbied congress to ban it. If they or any of 47’s billionaires buy it, they will ruin it. And it will die, just like twitter.

There are several ppl working to create an alternative to TikTok- Trend, Neptune, clapper and pixelfed are giving it an honest shot, but it takes months if not years to create the algorithm and then the following. Something will come along, but it won’t be overnight.
