"In demand" is like having options of a VHS, DVD, or DVR at your fingertips without having the actual VHS or DVD.
"Live" is what's currently being aired just like cable TV. There are times I will set the DVR for something that will be aired when I won't be home so that I can watch it later.
Streaming is relatively inexpensive compared to cable.
Here's an example of Sling's cost for 2024
As of early 2024, Sling TV offers the following pricing options per month:
Sling Orange: $40
Sling Blue: $40
Sling Orange + Sling Blue: $55
Channel packs: $6$21
Premium channels: $3$10
Streaming services always raise the costs of packages but it's still more affordable than cable. At home I have Sling, Hulu, Disney Plus and Amazon Prime. I don't have Netflix. We don't pay near what we use to pay with cable.
I hope that I explained this so that you can understand it.
