5. Cars that are meant to be driven

fully intend that you know what's going on beneath the wheels!

Rolling couches (basically all American cars) hide what's going on.

My parents owned 3 Jaguars a '57 a '62 and a '67. All saloons with the Le Mans
winning inline 6, bored out to 4.2L in the '67...


The one American car I owned, I bought for $1, and at the end of a month
I was ready to roll it off a cliff...

Nowadays most US roads are in poor repair. If the roads were smooth
you wouldn't be complaining about the ride!

Years ago, I joked that I could feel it when I ran over a gum wrapper in my
4WD '91 Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo...what a fun car! One of these came in
2nd on a 3mile hill climb...2nd only to a Viper.
