Here's another: awesome. Seldom are the things or people described as awesome actually "awesome."
Niagra Falls are awesome. The Taj Mahal is awesome. Maybe even FDR or Winston Churchill were awesome. Your kid's little league team and your favorite sister may be good or great or nice, but the word awesome should be saved for bigger things.
