There was an apparent consensus that it wouldn't be covered. So only the original NY Post reporter covered it ( a total of twice... near as I can tell) and then as if by mutual agreement it seemed to be declared off-limits. Only a handful of bloggers went near it after that.

Perhaps the above is the price we have to pay. Part of the arrangement? Who knows. But that's the only scenario that makes any sense.

The membership seems to be overwhelmlngly opposed to it but the leadership supports it to the point where it ( they) get emotionally unhinged when challenged on the subject.

He runs again in two years. Doesn't seem to matter. The UFT/AFT is set-up to reelect the ruling caucus nominee. Ms Weingarten was just reelected w. 97% of the vote.

I'd no idea she was that popular. I just talk to teachers... so what do I know? Maybe she should consider running for pope.
