I don't have a lot of answers, but can recommend some little things...
- I make sure I do what I can to get eight hrs sleep, even if it means a very late start to the day.
(I've told anyone who might contact me that I don't take calls before noon. That works fairly well, but not perfect.)
- I try to take advantage of sunny days and sit outside for a while. I find the sun healing both physically and spiritually.
- Observe nature around you - birds, flora and fauna. They give a sense of peace of mind. Occasionally go to a quiet public
park and observe the people, younger and older, and their pets.
-Eat regularly - healthy though not fancy or heavy meals, take enough fluid to not be dehydrated.
- Like you, I'm especially adverse to seeing or hearing rancorous politicians or pundits. PBS offers programs of interest or
entertainment which pass the time pleasantly.
- I'm not so good about phoning people, but lately I've begun writing a brief card or note to a relative or friend. I'm also
posting what I know of family history on Facebook for younger relatives, as so much of that information will be lost when I
pass on.
Forgive those who need forgiving.
That's it for tonight. You've been well attended to by DUers above. Will be back in touch soon.
