Ceramic stovetop [View all]

Replaced a heat monitor light a few years back. Now one of the stovetop coils has no thermostat - no ability to control the temp. It stays on HIGH all the time, no matter where the handle is turned.

I'm thinking that's the whole thermostat/rheo? assembly beneath the handle. Probably a few plug in connectors and a new unit. Does this sound reasonable? It's an Amana, 23 years old. DIY. You think parts should be available?

Thanks for any insight.......
