They were already traumatized with the move, but then they couldn't see their new surroundings very well.
It was all too much for them.
The fact they are venturing out now is a very good sign.
I know there was (your) blood involved on the trimming project, but you did good Tom!

I have a cat and haven't had a dog in years but I do know that bonding with them is the key
