2. It is so hypocritical when I watched some of the residents effected by the storm on TV

and they say, "I prayed and prayed and God listened to my prayers. See that tree that fell over and almost hit my house. My prayers worked and that is proof". OK, then why is it that when the same prayers to the same God do not "work" and there is harm or damage to someone? Was he too busy listening to someone else's prayers or maybe you are too big of a sinner to deserve prayer results. What are their answers to this..."It was God's will" or "He works in mysterious ways"?

I shake my head and wonder...."Huh?".
