The moral lessons are mythological cautionary tales of man's former delusional depravity.

These are not individuals and societies to emulate, these are individuals and societies that were torn asunder and tore others asunder because of their delusion.

i.e. King David, "a man after YAHWEH's own heart."

How very telling indeed.
