Once you're bought in it's exceptionally rare for reason to be restored.

Delusion requires the ongoing generation of further delusion, lie stacked upon lie.
Doubt is the path to reason, delusion blocks that path.
Thus reason is rejected in it's entirety lest it blow away the strawmen's lies.

May reason rule.
