Lawyers: If WI Recount Reveals Count Fraud and Hillary Won, Can the Supreme Court be Petitioned [View all]
to Order a Halt to the Electoral College Vote pending recounts in other close states?
I know it is doubtful that the WI count will change, but if the "impossible" happens and there is overwhelming evidence of error, fraud, or misconduct that is likely in other states, could an argument be made that the safe harbor date be extended and EC vote be delayed a couple of weeks to allow for proper counts? I know Justice Breyer proposed a one week extension in Florida that was not agreed to in 2000, but suppose he got five votes? Can the Supremes effectively order such a recount?
