(11,750 posts)If the debate turns into an actual policy discussion--progressive vs liberal/moderate ideas--that's one thing. Could actually be instructive, the manner of funding and the realistic probability of legislative action on a variety of programs.
If, however, this turns into a shouting match, where the basic point is to bloody Biden's nose and damage the presumptive nominee's chances in November, then I'll be screaming from the rooftops that Sanders needs to go. As in, yesterday.
We don't need anymore lectures on 'The Democratic Establishment rigging the primaries' or 'Corporate Whore/Wall St. Toady' slurs. This only helps Trump. And we certainly do not need a lecture on how our Democratic base was/is wrong in their nominee choice. Bernie knew who the base was and how no nominee could win a Democratic primary without their support. He did nothing to enhance his support among the AA community. That's on him.
Consequently, Bernie Sanders has no path to the nomination. The enemy is Donald Trump and his enablers. WINNING is everything in November. If Bernie cannot muster enough grace to know how and when to bow out for the sake of the country, I have no time for him or his supporters.

primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
